碩士 === 東海大學 === 社會工作學系 === 92 === Marital violence and divorce are getting more and more serious in our society. But there are still few studies directly related to marital violence and divorce. Due to lack of studies in this area, the researcher tries to know the life situation of post-divorced by integral discussion with the abused women who divorced to leave the violent relationship. After knowing the situation and factors of the post-divorced adjustment, we can not only provide more proper suggestions to the marital violence prevention network, but also raise the post-divorced adjustment of the abused women. The study is of exploratory research. The researcher tries to know the situation and factors of post-divorced adjustment wholly and deeply from the perception of abused women. According to information from the depth interview with the cases in this study, the discussion the findings can sort into 5 respects which are the factors affect the abused women make the decision of divorce, the positive effects with the end of marital violence, how the violent experiences affect the life adjustment after divorce, the life adjustment problems after leaving the violent marriage, the factors affect the life adjustment after divorce. In this study, we can know that divorce is one method the abused women may employ to leave the violent marriage, but the exit of marital violence is not equal to getting rid of the damage and effects of violence immediately. As a matter of fact, it is hard to begin the adjustment to their new life and the recovery from the mental and physical traumata after divorcing from the violent marriage.
