Samples of this study were taken from two nursing homes in the Taichung area, using constructive questionnaires as a research tool. The questionnaires sought information about individual characteristics, diseases, functions, socio-psychological conditions, the experiences of rehabilitation and perception of rehabilitation, as well as the correlations between the above-mentioned factors to the willingness in rehabilitation. Data was collected through face-to-face interview with residents in nursing home themselves if their MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) were above 13. The guestionnaires answered by their family members instead when MMSE below or equal to 13 through telephone. Among 180 samples, 80 (44%) and 100 (56%) were completed by residents themselves and their family members respectively. Family members (85%) had higher willingness comparing with resident (66.2%) who answered by themselves. We found out that the majority (78%) of the residents or family members of the two nursing homes have had experiences in rehabilitation; however, they still lack the perception of rehabilitation. Of those who answered the guestionnaires residents themselves, the shorter the length of stay in nursing home, Taiwanese in nationality, more confidence in recovery, having previous experiences and confidence in rehabilitation, had higher willingness to receive rehabilitation. Residents who had more diseases, poor functions, having previous experiences and confidence in rehabilitation had higher willingness to receive rehabilitation in family members-answered group. 鄭文輝 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW |
