Different from ordinary CAI software, the production of remedial instructive flash animation is based on the concept nodes. The advantage of the adaptive remedial instruction system lies in the the instant and adaptive remedial instruction following by the computerized adaptive diagnostic testing, made by our research team. It gives students a flexible and independent learning evironment without the limitation of time and place by using Flash Mx to build the system.
By doing this, teachers can reduce their workload and make a better balance between the summative evaluation and the formative evaluation.In the process of instruction teachers can help students overcome their problems, before getting worse.
The conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) On the basis of the concept nodes of knowledge structure, we make teaching material by using FlashMx. (2) It provides students with adaptive remedial instruction by using this system. (3) In order to remedy effectively, we insist on those elements, including web, multimedia, human factor design , and better interaction. (4) To make it a two way system, including remedial instruction and supplement learning.
