The main purpose of this study was to construct a Pre-service Preschool Successful Intelligence Scale (PPSIS) for measurement of pre-service preschool teacher successful intelligence by using situational judgment test (SJT). The study employed a multistage sampling method and selected totally 1522 pre-service preschool teachers. Each pre-service preschool teacher was administered PPSIS assessing successful intelligence. Through statistical methods such as item analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, we analyzed all the information we got. By utilizing second order confirmatory factor analysis to examine the model, we found that the pre-service preschool teachers’ successful intelligence model fitted the observed data. According to MANOVA, background variables had significantly different impact on pre-service preschool teachers’ successful intelligence Suggestions based on the above conclusion are provided to pre-service preschool teacher, preschool teacher education institution and future research.
