Our economy is more property, vehicles are more necessary, and customers want high quality products. A study on motorcycle parts inspection research in vision inspection technology is proposed to reference for our vehicle part industry. Specific research issues include: (1) standard part data base, (2) defect inspection, and (3) part sorting. The standardization of the part is first built, by group technical according Optiz method, followed by using the design feature and manufacture feature to construct standard part data base. The part template will be included also. The defect inspection will apply the threshold method, and original gray value will be transformed. The parts will be recognized by comparing the part in the image to a template of data base, and inspect the diameter of the hole, then determine the part is perfect or not. As for the issue of parts sorting, this research takes into account the suitable code by the data base. At last, the result of threshold method and Sobel Filter is proposed to searching a better method on motorcycle die- casting vision inspection In addition to discussing the theory, this research also manufactured equipment, and builds an inspection program to carry out experiments to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
