Those companies transition from OEM to ODM, or even OBM were effected by shorter product life cycle, enterprises competition, or changing industrial structure, etc.,. The evolution grows the pressing need for collaborative design. The company departments want early involve in the stages of product design chain. At the same time, the concept of collaborative design may have chance to reduce the process of engineering changes (EC). However, EC is still an inevitable and necessary process. Therefore, this research focuses on this subject by means of theoretical techniques and practical strategies, based on the business characteristics, in order to construct an efficient analytic tool and managerial scheme for engineering change process. In this research, it will discuss different business models from the practical issues regarding their EC processes to conclude various EC patterns for OEM/ODM/OBM, and then analyze their differentials. Furthmore, it will examine the relations between EC causes and their corresponding processes to develop a variety of typical EC flow charts. In flow analysis and simplification, the seven relationships method will be used to systematically express the EC flows. This method will also look into the essence of these relationships to explore the dependency and effect among events. Meanwhile the EC process combined with event relations can be characterized for the purpose of process operation and decision-making. Finally, it will also employ the Five Focusing Steps in Theory of Constraints to solve the bottleneck problem in the resides of process management. By use of Current Reality Tree and Evaporating Clouds Method to analyze, the result of findings provides the alternative solutions. Applying the logical procedure of Effect-Cause-Effect, the EC process will be investigate again for circumstance analysis and continuous improvement. Meng Hsiang-Jeng 孟祥仁 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 102 zh-TW
