碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) === 92 === As the rapid progress of information technology, all of the government field, industry-wide field or academia field focuses on how to improve the efficient procedures. Office automatic (OA) system is the most efficient Tool. OA can share information with others more rapidly and than easily to transfer to other departments. Electronic document is an important item of OA and increasing the efficiency of dealing with official documents. The Ministry of Education began to use electronic document working on domestic colleges since 2000. Through this policy，has been shorten the time of process on documents, decrease the amount of paper work, economize the use of postal rates and increase the efficiency of administrative affairs. Therefore, this study uses the survey research methods to discuss those four aspects; ”the environment of academia”, ”the demand on planning electronic documents”, ”the professional knowledge of administrators” and “ the effect of adopting electronic documents”. According to this study, there are two critical factors of successfully executing electronic document system on colleges. The first one is the strongly support from the decision maker, and the second one is the professional knowledge of administrators. The suggestion of those further studies can focus on the effect of flow management, the standard operational procedure and the security problem.
