Summary: | 碩士 === 政治作戰學校 === 軍事社會行為科學研究所 === 92 === The military officers are the main force of the troops. Their physical and psychological situations have critical influences on the management of the troops and the missions fulfilled. So far, most of the focus of military research regarding the mental hygiene is on the soldiers, but seldom on the military officers. For the reason, the purpose of the research is to understand the physical and psychological situation of the military officers, and furthermore to draft a training course to strengthen the adaptability of the military officers. Therefore, the research has three purposes : to explore the individual differences in the hardiness, perception of stress, self-efficacy, attribution style, work adjustment and physical and mental adjustment, to find the relationships among hardiness, perception of stress, self-efficacy, attribution style, work adjustment and physical and mental adjustment, and to draft a theoretical model so as to understand the relationships among hardiness, perception of stress, cognitive appraisal and reaction of military officers.
843 voluntary and compulsory military officers were sampled and “The questionnaires about the physical and mental adjustment of the military officers” were used as the research instrument. The results showed that:
1. there were group differences in the personality trait of the hardiness, perception of stress, self-efficacy, attribution style, work adjustment and physical and mental adjustment.
2. hardiness could influence officers’ work adjustment through their perception of stress, self-efficacy and attribution style.
3. the theoretical model could be used to explain the observed data approximately.
