To explore preschoolers’ leadership behaviors when they interact with their peers. 2. To analyze the various characteristics of the preschool leaders. 3. Based on the results of this research, giving suggestions to parents and teachers about how to guide the kids with or without leadership behaviors. The major data collection method is observation, furthermore the socioemetry is used to collect the data about the relation among the peers in the research class. There are two preschoolers observed in the research, one is a girl and the other one is a boy. The results of this study are as the followings: 1. The preschoolers’ leadership behaviors are:the girl used creating games, providing ideas, providing toys, and the boy used painting, rough and tumble play, funny plays. About the activity participating and role playing, both the boy and the girl used the similar strategies, like: inviting or rejecting the others, assigning roles to their partners. During the peer interaction process, the leadership behaviors used by the girl were: giving directions, teaching others, and commanding; the boy used giving slogan, teaching others, and commanding. 2. Analyzing the preschoolers’ leadership characteristics, both the boy and the girl owned outstanding competences of language, social and cognitive development. Therefore, they have absolute abilities not only to interact with their peers but also lead activities. The suggestions of this research are: teachers educate the kids with leadership not only to obey the class rules, but also have the appropriate attitudes to share and care their peers. Parents can appropriate their kids’ individual differences. Do not care whether the kid has or has no leadership, doing their best is an important attitude. It is believed that this qualitative study will help teachers and parents to recognize and accommodate preschool children’s leadership behaviors. The findings of this study will be an important literature for developing children’s leadership knowledge. 鄧蔭萍 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 151 zh-TW
