Two and six month old male and female senescence accelerated mice (SAMP8) were divided into five groups. Body weights, food intake, open field activity test, single-trial passive avoidance, and active shuttle avoidance test grading score and were performed, and variation of brain histopathology after sacrificed. The result showed,in learning and memory ability , both female and male in single-trial passive avoidance test and active shuttle avoidance test ,had a better improvement than control group.In the grading score of senescence, both female and male between 2month and 6month mice showed significant differences. The vacuoles and lipofuscin of brain in 6month were better than 2month mice, we conclude that the supplement of Tien-Wang-Pu-Hsin-Dan could improve the abilities of learning and memory and reducing the brain pathological varies, and decrease grading score.
