This event has been the winning medal for our National team members, but in resent years, we have not proven our achievements in the international games, these results would greatly affect our commanding lead. Athletes’ performance and team work are guided by team coaches to achieve performance on the competitions. Therefore, the team coaches are the soul of the team. This study selected eight National team coaches from 1996 to 2003. The study is to explore the leadership behavior, values of coaches, training method, team management and the team cooperation; their problems in leading the teams were investigated. The lengthy interview comprised the following questions and the findings are as follows: 1.Coaching leadership: Most coaches acknowledge the purpose to win the international competitions. Most coaches applied democratic leadership style, but also combined with other leadership styles to maintain the necessary harmony with the team members to achieve the common goal. Using Spartan training style in training session. 2.Coach’s value: Teamwork was an important factor and coaches paid much attention to win and to improve the morality of athletes. A master of both with the theory and practice. Begin with manners end with manners is as a martial artist original spirits and values. 3.Coaches training and management method: The coaches drew up training procedures and goals in accordance to the team member’s quality and competition schedules. Most coaches believed the best way to train or improve players were much depending on sport science. 4.The team and coach’s cooperation: All coaches agreed that cooperation was the key to success. They usually used the following ways to round up their Taekwondo skills by asking all players lived and learnt together and gave spiritual education, encouragement. 5.The coaches’ difficulties: There were many difficulties in the areas of Taekwondo coaching and training. The difficulties were mainly related to the questions of the promotion of coaching system, exchange of international relations, the supports form sponsors and the improvement of the competency of foreign languages.
