When companies want to develop a new product, they must have a correct study and understand in market and consumers. And then companies can provide a creative and precise design of marketing to overtake their competition. To achieve this goal, the tight cooperation of “Industrial Design” and “Marketing” becomes one of those important factors involving the success of the new product development. The aim of this research is to probe into how does industrial design match up marketing needs of Business transforming from marketing strategy in a new product development, and to discover what difficult will occur and how to solve problems. The difference cooperation of “Industrial Design” and “Marketing” between different business models is one of the purposes of this research. According to reviewing the literatures, interviewing with fields experts, and collecting individual cases of researching topic, the following results were obtained: (1)Industrial design participate in orientation stage will aid the development of new products. (2)The task of industrial design has been extended and industrial design plays an key role by integrating marketing plan stage and realize- manufacture stage. (3)The largest difficulty when industrial design matching up marketing needs of business to develop new products occurs in realize- manufacture stage. In this stage, mechanical design and industrial design should unite efforts to match up marketing needs of business to develop new products. (4)Industrial design is an efficient instrument to make product differential. (5)Industrial design should have a different location and plays a different role in different business models.
