Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 92 === The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of the secondary reinforcement(SR) on the static horizontal displacement of reinforced retaining wall(RRW) by using a finite difference program, named NERE, was constructed based upon FLAC. First, study the influence of 4 different grid size on the horizontal displacement for a 5 m high RRW. After selecting proper grid size, the result of a numerical analysis of the horizontal displacement of RRW with SR is presented. At last, the parametric study was conducted by NERE, including the distance between SR and wall face, the length, layer(s), stiffness and tensile strength of the SR, backfill soil friction angle, and surcharge loading.
In the static FDM analysis, The predicted results of a 5 m high RRW on the horizontal displacement of wall face show some conclusions: (1) It can get better deformation profile of the wall face when using small grid size than other big ones; (2) the horizontal displacement at middle position of each wrapped face can be reduced significantly by adding SR between main reinforcement layers; (3) a longer SR induces a smaller horizontal displacement, but 1 m long SR was suggested for deformation efficiency consideration; (4) more SR layers cause less horizontal displacement and remarkably eliminate sloughing of wall face; (5) an increase in SR stiffness reduces wall displacement; (6) the decrease of horizontal displacement of wall face become flat when backfill soil friction angle over 36 degree for all different SR length, (7) although it is useless to increase ultimate surcharge loading by increasing the length or layer of SR, max. displacement of wall face can be reduce 25~74%, (8) the influence of displacement of wall face is small by using the bokin method.
