碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 92 === This study applies the five forces analysis and SWOT analysis to investigate the most significant factors that influence the five competitions faced by the hand tools industry in Taiwan, and to analyze its related strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. Main conclusions of this study are as follows. （1） Promotion of production technologies, such as production automation and near net shape forming, is imperative. Development into grind hand tools product in the future trend, such as new materials, minimum weight product design, ergonomics products, multi-function, high accuracy and high value products. （2） It is improper to solely rely on low-price strategies and profit-reduction marketing patterns to establish our business model. A more aggressive movement should be enforced on the development of e-commerce-based marketing, establishment of our own named brands, strategy alliance and diversification of markets as well as devotion on searching for possible markets. （3） Government should evaluate the output of auxiliary policies to the hand tools industry, and to increase more funding to R&D project, to speed up CNS standards establish time as international standards consistence, to provide the assistance to nurture and train the potential technical professionals, to reward new technology research , to reduce tax and the cost of labor and lands, to prevent the hand tools industry from being another sunset industry in Taiwan.
