Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 92 === Patent research is getting more attention then ever and treated as the important intelligent properties for high technology companies. R&D engineers often spend a great number of times on searching and reading related patents. The domain experts are highly expected to annotate and evaluate the target patents first, the worker will be able to more precisely grasp the core values and figure out the comparisons of the studied patents. Our patent samples, mainly focused on mobile phone mechanisms, are downloaded from USPTO and stored in a RDBMS table (DB2 system). Through the GUI interfacing with document-based database (Lotus Note system), the domain experts may annotate the specific patents according to TRIZ concepts and a proposed classification scheme based on mechanism design practices. LEI software (Lotus Enterprise Integrator) is involved to do two-way data exchange and merge tasks between DB2 and Lotus Domino systems. Consequently, R&D engineers would understand the targeted patents more effectively and then promote their productivities. A knowledge portal prototype built on Lotus Domino platform is established to demonstrate the patent annotation structure. Based on the UML notation, the interaction between the knowledge workers and our system components (DB2, LEI, and Domino database) are clearly illustrated in this study. The core values of the patents are expressed finally in XML format for future reuse and can be displayed in pretty HTML form in the client’s browser side.
