The purpose of this paper is to study the crisis management for fire protection from the perspective of construction department and management personnel of any business firm. A survey was conducted upon the age, years of experiences, education, types of jobs and positions at various of the construction department and management personnel in order to tell the differences in the knowledge for fire protection. This study particularly focused on the case of The Taipei 101 tower as an interesting example for the study under consideration. An effective random sample of 250 upon construction department and management personnel is analyzed to draw the conclusions.
The major summary and conclusions upon this research are the followings: (1) the data shows that there was quite obvious in the case of insufficient knowledge of the crisis management for fire protection of the construction department and management personnel of many business firms. Further education and training for the knowledge is crucial for fire protection. (2) a recommendation of the temporary measures and equipment for fire protection before the completion of full equipment is also necessary and is deserved to be placed upon in the legal act. (3) A minimum hours of education and training of the fire-protection course is required for both construction department and management personnel of many business firms.
