DSC has become one of the most desired electronics for consumers. This research would like to know what services or functions of DSC are necessary for consumers. And applying Quality Function Deployment(QFD)to take the Voice of Customer(VoC)into the product design for DSC. There are several issues discussed as following in this research: 1.To get the views of consumers for the importance of each quality dimension of DSC. 2.A competition analysis among Premier, Sony and Fujifilm DSCs. 3.Categorize each quality dimension of DSC into Kano model. 4.Implementing the product design and development of DSC by transferring the consumer demands applying QFD method. At first, this study extracts 10 quality dimensions from the domestic and foreign researches about DSC. Thus get the views of consumers for the importance of each quality dimension of DSC and make a competition analysis among Premier, Sony and Fujifilm DSCs via a questionnaire. Secondly, classify each quality dimension of DSC into Kano model through a Kano questionnaire that consists of a pair of questions(one positive and one negative). And evaluate the difference of view for each quality dimension of DSC by each customer attribute. Finally, integrate Kano model and QFD into the product design for Premier DSC. The results about above issues are described as following: 1.The 4 most important quality dimensions of DSC for consumers are「Image processing technology」、「Capturing technology」、「Service after sales」and 「Product warranty」. Consumers are not concerned about「External interface」. 2.Consumers are almost satisfied with each quality dimension of Premier DSCs. But the scores of「Image processing technology」、「Service after sales」and 「Product warranty」 are lower if we make comparisons with Sony and Fujifilm DSCs. 3.For the 10 quality dimensions of DSC. 「Data transferring technology」、「DSC modeling」、「Operation interface」、「Service after sales」and「Accessory」are classified into the one-dimensional quality element of Kano model. 「Image processing technology」、「Capturing technology」、「Power type」、「External interface」 and「Product warranty」are classified into the must-be quality element of Kano model. 4.The view for each quality dimension of DSC by different customer attribute is significant. 5.For a DSC market segmentation to consumers, the DSC manufacturer should focus on the「Image processing technology」、「Capturing technology」and 「Product warranty」. 6.For a DSC market segmentation to students, the DSC manufacturer should focus on the 「Accessory」 . Such as a high capacity memory card, picture developing coupons, a DSC cover and a tripod. It is helpful to increase the purchasing desire of students.
