Description
Summary:博士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 工業管理系 === 92 === Process benchmarking and business process reengineering (BPR) have become two main methodologies used to implement business process improvement and has attracted many attentions in current fast-changing environment. Leveraging best practice has become the important factor of process benchmarking and BPR. With the gap analysis of business process (GABP), project team can discover a lot of im-provement opportunities. Although several concepts of GABP have been proposed in the literature, research in this area lacks systematic analytical approach for effective comparison. This dissertation has proposed a systematic enterprise model comparison ap-proach to assist project team in GABP. A three-phased framework including business process modeling phase, object semantic analysis phase and process gap analysis phase was developed. Compared processes were first modeled with enterprise mod-eling architecture. Then, the concept of semantic similarity analysis was applied to find the semantic-related objects in two process models. Finally, the methods for processed data gap analysis and process logic gap analysis between two process models were developed on the basis of confirmed pairs of semantic-related objects from two process models. With the proposed GABP approach, project team will un-derstand and redesign their processes more effectively.
