The games can not only entertain players but also serve as a channel to deliver information, ideas even the culture to the game players.
Recently, the game industry becomes more and more prosperous. Hundred of new games are being released every month. However, very few games have showed Taiwan characteristics in them. Thus, the author''s purpose is to create a game featured rich Taiwan characteristics.
The main idea behind this creation bases on famous story of Taiwan Robin Hood: ''Liao Tian-Ding''. In order for the players to learn Taiwan history and culture while playing. The game recreates the Taiwan life during Japanese colonial period and serves as a tour guide to the players. Besides, a treasure collection system is designed in the game. The players have to collect items in early Taiwan life during the game. In this process, the players get to know understand more about Taiwan culture.
