Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 92 === Abstract “Art” has always been my ultimate goal that has led me to create innovatively. In other words, I have been seeking the essence and concepts of art with tremendous efforts. This existing study aims at exploring the transformation of objects as a means of innovative creation. Through the discovery of “transformation”, I have found out about the elements of “living” and the essence of art. The evolution of history has proved that transformation is a concrete action, the change of form, and the re-creation of feeling. Thus, the mission of an artist is to make ideas come alive and seek truth in the essence of art. The universe is a big living being, in which everything live, recycle, and transform. The elements of creativity derive themselves from appreciation the form, the structure, and the content of artworks through interactions of cause and effect. The goal of artistic innovation is to transmit the re-creation of the feeling of the life of an individual in order to develop one’s particular style. Through this study I have reached the following conclusions: (1) An artwork is unique and complete. It is a complete and self-sufficient artistic creative entity, while at the same time it also serves as a clone of an entire object. (2) It is through appreciating an artwork that one transforms from an ignorant and stranger viewer into a participant revoking the unknown and uncovering limitless possibilities in the viewer’s own life. The individuality and completeness of an innovative object are viewed, read, touched, and transformed---none of which is accomplishable through theoretical dialogues. (3) The ideas for this existing study derived themselves from the essences of creativity from both the east and the west. It is through my reflection on the creative form and great thoughts of the predecessors in the arena of art and through my own working experience, that I have expanded the content of the artworks to form the style of transforming creativity. Finally, it is through my digesting of the object by seeing and seeking the feeling of re-creation of objects that I derived the basic form of innovation.
