Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 醫學工程學研究所 === 92 === In this study, we proposed an ultrasound thermal surgery system for breast tumors. The whole system is composed of a split-focused transducer with four elements and a mechanical scanning system. We simulated a few of heating patterns created by our system to realize that if this system is efficient and appropriate for the treatment of breast tumors. We used the wave theory, Pennes’ bioheat transfer equation, and thermal dose equivalence in our computer simulation. The results showed that different modes of the transducer can form different kind of heating patterns. With the mode number of transducer increasing, the volume of heating pattern was bigger and the heating time longer. We combined mode 1 and mode 2 to form a 1cm*1cm*2.5cm heating pattern. With mechanical scanning, we could produce a 2cm*2cm*2cm heating pattern. The superiority of this study is shown that we can combine different heating patterns to match the breast tumor. The heating system is relatively simple and cheap when compared to the 1-D or 2-D phased array systems. In addition, the heating patterns are more variable and the acoustic window is effectively used to treat a larger tumor.
