Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊管理學研究所 === 92 === Knowledge sharing is a critical issue in knowledge management. The sharing of knowledge translates into accelerated learning and innovation, which leads to a competitive advantage. Information technology can empower the knowledge worker by providing tools and support and boosting his/her knowledge-sharing skills. However, most of the current KM systems adopt centralized approaches, which have been found to be ineffective for knowledge sharing.
In this thesis, we design and implement a P2P knowledge sharing system called KTella to facilitate the process of knowledge sharing. It has five main functions: knowledge searching, knowledge publishing and forwarding, peer clustering, knowledge recommendation, and instant messaging. We introduce a rating mechanism to form peer groups and enable recommendations and social filtering in order to make knowledge sharing effective and efficient. In addition the application features of KTella will motivate knowledge workers to share knowledge with each other.
