It can be as a substrate to synthesize polysaccharide in plant, but in most time it must hydrolyze to hexoses into target cell for access. In order to understand the utilization and transportation of sucrose in rapidly growing green bamboo shoots, continuing the studies of cell wall invertase Bobfruct1 and Bobfruct2、vacuolar invertase Bobfruct3 and sucrose transpoter BoSUT1. Southern blot analysis suggested that Bobfruct1、Bobfruct2、Bobfruct3 and BoSUT1are low copy number genes and that there are other invertases and sucrose transporters existing in green bamboo shoots. Northern blot and RT-PCR analysis suggested that Bobfruct1 and Bobfruct2 mainly express in the base of green bamboo shoots, Bobfruct3 mainly expresses in the elongation and meristem of green bamboo shoots. The expression of Bobfruct1、Bobfruct2 and Bobfruct3 are complementary in green bamboo shoots. BoSUT1 expresses in all part of green bamboo shoots at various stage, but has different expression patterns. RT-PCR analyses show Bobfruct1 has no expression in leave, unlike Bobfruct2 has little expression. BoSUT1 has more expression in leaves than green bamboo shoots.Finally, Northern blot analysis suggested that Bobfruct1 and Bobfruct3 are inhibited by drought、high salt、mannitol and sucrose. Bobfruct2 will be induced by mannitol and sucrose. But in this part, the results have to be confiomed again.
