碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 森林學研究所 === 92 === The main purpose of this study is to test the construction of the Theory of Reasoned Action by using four fire use behaviors including offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors, smoking, burning trash, and welding water conduits of farmers cultivating in Wu-Lin Area. Farmers in Wu-Lin Area had similar percentage between intentions of fire use and actual behaviors during cultivatable period. They had positive attitudes toward fire use, and subjective norm had strong influence on farmers’ behavior on cultivatable period in Wu-Lin Area. It indicates that farmers in Wu-Lin Area felt the danger of fire use when they cultivated. The results showed the significant correlation between variables that constructed in the Theory of Reasoned Action. In summary, the model based on four variables showed that support for predicting fire use behavior of farmers in Wu-Lin Area. The results of the present study suggested that fire use intentions can be adopted to help in the construction of a human-caused fire danger rating system in the future.
