Because they are loaded on high buildings, there is a effect of magnification in earthquake input. So, they get more earthquake force loaded on high buildings rather than ground. This study gives an analysis on the heavy cranes and the light equipment. First, we analyze crane on high buildings. Mass of crane is huge ,so it may interact with the building under the earthquake. To analysis the crane, we have to connected it with the building and analysize them as a whole. This study creates a analytical model which conforms with reality, and nonlinear history analysis is made on it with some reasonable assumptions. Second, the equipment gets less mass, so it can be analysized separately with the building. We may first find the greatest absolute acceleration of the floor where the equipment is, and then find the force on the equipment according to the floor spectrum. We give a simple estimation for the greatest absolute acceleration of the floor, and compare them with the history analysis made on the structural analytical modal.We also find out the floor spectrum according to the modal. First, we analyze crane on high buildings. Mass of crane is huge ,so it may interact with the building under the earthquake.
