Summary: | 博士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電機工程學研究所 === 92 === Among the existing fast charging strategies, the REFLEX and Podrazhansky approaches are the most significant ones. The major drawbacks are the resistive loss and poor current response in the charging circuit. This dissertation proposes buck-type and flyback-type fast charging circuit for the fast charging strategies. These two charging methods have the advantages of high charging efficiency, rapid transient response and short charging time. These two high frequency fast charging circuit strategies are experimentally verified on 12V/4.5AH nonspillable sealed-lead assembled batteries. In the buck-type, the charging efficiency reaches 94.3%, the charging time no more than 10 minutes from empty to 50% of full charge and no more than 30 minutes from empty to 80% of full charge. In the flyback-type, the charging efficiency reaches 92%, the charging time no more than 12 minutes from empty to 50% of full charge and no more than 40 minutes from empty to 80% of full charge. The transient characteristics of two fast charging circuits are also analyzed. Experimental results, charging and discharging processes are provided for verification.
