Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 國際企業學研究所 === 92 === The major research in this paper is the impact of CIM system on operation performance of IC fab and TFT-LCD fab. First of all, the paper introduces the definition of CIM, the benefit of CIM system, process flow of IC and TFT-LCD, the functional structure of CIM system, and the application of CIM system in IC and TFT-LCD industrial, etc. And then, several companies will be studied in this research by multiple case study and interview By four point of view, (1) finance performance, (2) internal operation performance, (3) innovation and study performance, (4) customer satisfaction performance, this research defines the measurement factors for operation performance of IC fab and TFT-LCD fab. There are five difference types of industrial in the target of research, (1) IC manufacturer, (2) TFT-LCD manufacturer, (3) CIM System Integrator, (4) CIM Solution Provider, (5) Manufacturing Equipment Provider. Via case study of these difference industrials, this research will be more detached and correct.After analysis, this research finds that, CIM system can impact the operation performance of IC fab and TFT-LCD fab from all the four point of view listed above. It is very helpful especially for “throughput increment” and “yield increment”. The initial setup cost of a CIM system takes very low percentage of whole fab investment. But CIM system can make a very high return on investment (ROI). So that, CIM system can increase the operation performance of IC fab and TFT-LCD fab efficiently, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprise efficiently also.
