In order to for parents to tell a daily story before bedtime, he wrote 365animal stories. Combining a stethoscope in his left hand and a pen in his right hand, Tu Bei wrote animal stories which are closely linked to his profession, putting a mew breath into Taiwanese animal literature. Through his vivid prose, he narrated touching stories, urging people to treat animal with loving care and to respect the lives of animals. The thesis aims at (1) text analysis of animal stories, (2) exploration of Tu Bei’s creative process and material selection, (3) formation of animal images and theme presentation. On writing style, his key narrative viewpoints will be discussed. Moreover, his conveying of life and education perspectives will be further explored, and it is suggested that the contents of animal stories will be further expanded.
