The research use the qualitative research and take the students in the grade second class one at An-Dong primary school as research objects. The methods of collecting materials are reading wordless picturebooks, the reading papers students write, the pictures students paint and interviewing. The wordless picturebooks are three of David Wiesner’s works, such as 《Tuesday》、《Free Fall》、《Sector 7》.Finally, I find the following results: 一、 The responses and discussions of students about the subject, object, plot and picture. 二、 The factors of influencing the responces and to discuss the wordless picturebooks of students are following: (一)students’ personality(二)the interaction between students(三)the questions the researcher asks and the way the research guides. 三、 The processes of students’ responces about picturebooks: (一)respond the illogical in books(二)the main character is the core of the picturebook(三)「read」the meanings of the picture (四)students’association and imagination:1、students can make association with picturebooks 2、students have endless imagination(五)the responses and the ways of discussion are not different from word picturebooks(六)the interesting and funny are students’ favorite(七)the difference of performance between the students in class and during interview(八)other affects:1、students can find the fun of reading from the picturebooks 2、students can keep the good habits of active reading. According to the results, the research has some suggestions for teachers working with reading guidance and the research’s deep research.
