First, the researcher collects and examines relative literatures to establish the basis; then, by using self-made research tool “The questionnaire of high-grade students’ habits of sports in leisure”, 814 high-grade students of Kaohsiung county elementary schools are the subjects; finally, the researcher uses statistical ways(SPSS for windows 10.0)to deal with the data, including frequency, percentage, chi-square test, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheff’s method. The results are as below: 1. Participations and conditions of sports in leisure (1) The frequency of students’ participation is high. (2) The time length of students’ sport is lightly insufficient. (3) Most students have sport and entertainment activities on weekends. (4) Students prefer taking exercises during the afternoon and evening. (5) Body exercises are most popular. (6) The top ten sports and entertainments are bike-riding, basketball, swimming, dodge ball, watching sports games on media, shuttlecock, jogging, fete, baseball and rope-jumping. (7) The top five information resources are classmates or friends, family, TV or radio, teachers and internet or e-mail. (8) The top five motivations are to improve health, to relax, to advance skills, to release pressure and to fulfill interests. (9) The top five obstruction factors are lack of time, pressure of lessons, lack of company, lack of places and lack of trainers. (10) The hours that different sexes spend on sports are significantlydifferent. (11) The hours, frequency, periods that students in different areas spend per week are significantly different. (12) The hours, frequency, periods that students from different backgrounds spend per week are significantly different. 2. Attitudes of sports in leisure (1) High-grade students’ attitudes of sports in leisure are affirmative. (2) The attitudes in cognitive level between different sexes are significantly different, but under significant point of reference in other levels. (3) The attitudes in cognitive level and emotional level among different areas are significantly different. (4) Urban students’ attitudes in cognitive level and emotional level are higher than hinterurbia students. (5) The students’ attitudes in cognitive level, emotional level and behavior-affectionately level among different backgrounds are not significantly different.
