The purpose is to survey this relevant thesis and to probe into the definition, intension, motives for formational process and operation of strategic alliance among non-profit organizations. Therefore, it constructs the process in operation and to extrapolate alliance by the cycle of life circulation. Besides, it analyses the actual relation in operation, find out the outcome and plight within the case of “The Teenager Welfare Service Learning Alliance” (青少年福利服務學習聯盟).
There are few studies at the relevant concept of strategic alliance among nonprofit organizations in my country, so to study at the relevant concept from the special book of foreign countries as base. The study divides the process of strategic alliance into formation, operation and outcome and to probe into the cycle of life circulation.
This research adopts the case analyzing method, which is based on relevant document of strategic alliance among nonprofit organizations, expects to probe into the relevant process from real operation. Besides, it analyses relevant outcome and plight by interview with the 10 organizations which have participated in “The Teenager Welfare Service Learning Alliance” and the Notional Youth Commission (行政院青年輔導委員會).
The study discovers that the intension of strategic alliance among nonprofit organization must be integrated with the organizations. It must also be defined clearly on the concept, and chooses the partner respect to pay attention to members'' aim, creditworthiness, ability and resource. Besides, it must pay attention to the outcome with unanimous on operation. The main plights are haven’t a common view, and the rights and obligations were not clear, and so on.
So, this research advises to pay attention to different focal points at each stage in the process of operation of alliance:
(1) Pay attention to alliance''s forming and choosing with the partner on preparatory stage of the alliance.
(2) The alliance in planning stage must set up aim according to the short-term, middle-term and long-term goal of alliance.
(3) It must have the mechanism of force at developing stage of the alliance.
(4) The renew stage of the alliance must be paid attention to assessing and transforming the task.
