Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 社會工作學系 === 92 === The purpose of this study is to understand why do drug addicts break abstinence and back to addiction after they finished the compulsory abstention and treatment? And what’s the meaning of the experience in the drug rehabilitation center? The Study offers a narrative analysis of four inmates in a drug abstention and treatment center, the four stories reflect the personal issue behind the addiction and relapse behavior; and then, researcher generalize the similarity of the four stories, and explore the meaning of the relapse process and compulsory abstention treatment for recovery. After the data analysis, researcher approach the findings from social work empowerment theory, look over the disempowerment factors in their environment at present, and reflects the isolation of people who finished compulsory abstention treatment. These findings suggest the importance of empower these men, acknowledge their competence in treatment context, involving them with their families, and in legal and social context; and in planning supportive program for them.
