In resurveying, the operation has still two stages including field and office work. The surveyor must go field work again while the data may go wrong during office work. Therefore it is worth to establish a system in which both works can be conducted for resurveying. The purpose of research is to provide a total solution of land resurvey, and to build a digital land resurvey system. In the system, the data from GPS receiver, electronic theodolite and other conventional survey instruments can be received and processed. The system will integrate those data obtained in field and from database, and can produce the result map of resurveying that can be recognized by applicant in field. Today, most control surveying is done by GPS surveying and a TWD97 frame system, but the result of land resurvey is still based on TWD67 frame. If we can combine the data from GPS and TWD67 frame, the procedures of resurveying will be more convenient and quick. A transformation model from TWD67 to TWD97, and vice versa was constructed and tested in the research. The transformation model with 6 parameters by least square collocation was used and the data was obtained from an area of Taipei city. Due to the mechanism to transform data between TWD67 and TWD97, we can also verify the possibility to enhance the processing of land resurvey.
