Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 教育傳播與科技研究所 === 92 === The purposes of this study are to design and develop, based on Piaget’s theory and related researches, a web-based computer assisted instructional courseware to enhance the ninth grade students’ construction of area conservation concept.
In the analysis phase of courseware development, the researcher reviewed literatures for constructing the theory foundation, interviewed with experienced teachers for understanding the instructional requirement, and analyzed existing instructional materials for clarifying the advantages and shortcomings of them.
In the design phase, the design structure, including the relationships among educational technologies, subject contents, and instructional strategies, of this web-based computer assisted instructional courseware was developed according to the chaining model.
In the evaluation phase, various formative evaluation methods were executed. The questionnaire was used to select users’ opinions about this courseware, such as interfaces and contents. The pre- and post-testing method was used to evaluate the instructional effects. The interviews with content experts and teaching experts were used to select related data. These data selected by above methods was used to evaluate and modify this courseware.
The study results shown that the functions of dynamic representation that provided by this courseware can support student to construct the concept about area conservation concept. Embedding this web-based computer assisted instructional courseware into instruction can effectively improve students’ problem-solving strategies.
