The nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design of Quasi-experiment design was applied. The chosen samples were two classes of the 6th graders who were assigned as the experiment group(Self-Verbal Cues) and the control group(Non-Self-Verbal Cues). The samples from the two groups were given subjective psychomotor evaluation and objective psychomotor evaluation before and after three classes of spot shooting of basketball teaching. The pre-test grades of the two groups as covariate were used to tell the difference in the effect of these two groups’ basketball learning. After teaching, the result of this study was … 1. The students in the experiment group were better than the control group on their subjective psychomotor evaluation. 2. The students in the experiment group were better than the control group on their objective psychomotor evaluation. 3. The experiment group students’ abilities were promoted on the subjective psychomotor evaluation. 4. The experiment group students’ abilities were promoted on the objective psychomotor evaluation. 5. The control group students’ abilities were promoted on the subjective psychomotor evaluation. 6. The control group students’ abilities were not promoted on the objective psychomotor evaluation.
