Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 數理教育研究所 === 92 === The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers college students’ misconceptions about (1)the meaning of reproduction,(2)the importance of reproduction,(3)the characteristics of animal reproduction,(4)the patterns of animal reproduction and (5)the influence of external factors on animal reproduction. The instrument was a two-tier on-line test consisting 25 items. There were 90 college students who studied biology taking this on-line test. The results indicated that the misconceptions that students held as follows: (1)reproduction is defined as only through fertilization or producing gametes, (2)cell division is reproduction, (3)sexual reproduction is not good for generation by generation, (4)meiosis happens on asexual reproduction, (5)test tube baby is the baby developed in a test tube, (6)copy sheep (Dolly) is not the product from reproduction. This study provided a list of misconceptions about animal reproduction happening on teachers’ college students. It would be a reference for educators to improve biology curriculum and instruction.
