Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 機械與輪機工程學系 === 92 === Abstract The purpose of the thesis is to study the effect of the electrical discharge assisted grinding on 304 stainless steel. By the effect of the high temperature produced by the electrical discharge, the surface energy of the workpiece is reduced and the workpiece material may also be melting or vaporized, so that the cutting forces are reduced and the efficiency of the grinding is improved. Experimental results showed that the horizontal force and the vertical force reduce averagely 23.71% and 23.66%, respectively. However, the roughness of the surface increases with the current of the power supply. To overcome this difficulty, a manufacturing strategy is proposed, so that the new grinding method presented in this thesis can fulfill the manufacturing quality requirements.
