Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 92 === This thesis is concerned with the problem of predicting the motion of an articulated tower and cable subjected to noncollinear wave and current. Considering the structure as a spherical pendulum, Lagrange’s form of D’Alembert principle is employed to develop an analysis procedure. In this approach, dynamic fluid loadings varying along the entire length of the structure are integrated numerically and transformed into the genertlized active forces. Runge-Kutta method is used to solve these nonlinear differential equation. Both the transient and the steady state responses are presented in this thesis.
