Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 美術系在職進修碩士學位班 === 92 === The purpose of the study is elaborated as follows. First, the researcher will analyze the types of personality of the students from the broken family by means of the Lai’s personality measurement. Secondly, the researcher will explore those students by applying theory of psychoanalysis.
Two hundred students of Yung-Ching Junior High School in Chunghua County will be chosen to finish this test of the Lai’s personality measurement. Researcher will choose two classes from the first and second grades respectively. As the pressure of the basic competence test for third-grade students, only one class of the third grade is selected to do the test. If any student is qualified with the types of B and E in Lai’s personality measurement, they will be invited to conduct the experiment of painting. There are three themes in this experiment: my family, my dream, and ideal self. In order to further understand their motivation of painting creation and their family background, researcher will interview students one by one after they finish their works. Then researcher will analyze these cases and understand not only their personality but also the reasons of forming their painting ideas.
The result can be indicated as follows. Instead of drawing figures of people, students of broken family usually prefer to drawing scenery to show their feelings when they are asked to draw “my family.” Further more, they usually draw people with short and small shapes or without intact figure. For the reason of compensation, many of them are intended to emphasize the contrast to the real situation of daily life. In the subject of “my dream”, students in many cases show that they expect to become a famous singer. It may be seen as they are in the age of idolism. Besides, it seem that everyone has his/her own special dreams.
As to the subject of “ideal self”, there are a variety of types in their works. According to these cases, researcher finds that the ultimate purpose of the drawers is to pursue some kind of vagueness which is the true flowing from their deep mind. Therefore, paintings, which are seen by many scholars as the core to the mind, can be possibly considered as psychological pictures of their mind.
