This study provides the researchers a new way to explore the field of physical fitness. This study investigated the effects of different intensity exercise on students’ taking the physical fitness test. By quasi-experimental design, 133 freshmen in high school were asked to be examinees. They were divided into four groups: (1) aerobics fitness group; (2) muscular fitness group; (3) flexibility fitness group and (4) mixed fitness group. The course units were 4 weeks, 2 periods per week and each period was 50 minutes long. The exercise intensity was to the degree that the examinees felt a little pant but not too much. All the examinees accepted the measurement of elements of health-related physical fitness before and after taking the course units. All scores are processed by paired t-test and one-way ANCOVA. The results were as follows:
(I)The Part Within Groups: The examinees of muscular fitness group: improvement on body mass index and muscular fitness for female(p<.05).The examinees of flexibility fitness group: backwardness on aerobics fitness for female(p<.05), improvement on flexibility fitness for female(p<.05). The examinees of aerobics fitness group for male, muscular one and muscular fitness group for female: improvement on general fitness. The rest groups remain their non-significant level after the post-test(p>.05).
(II)The Part Among Groups: The aerobics fitness group is better than flexibility fitness group for female on aerobics fitness(p<.05);the muscular fitness group is also better than flexibility fitness group for female on aerobics fitness(p<.05).The muscular fitness group is better than aerobics fitness group and flexibility fitness group for female on muscular fitness(p<.05).The flexibility fitness group is better than aerobics fitness group, muscular fitness and mixed fitness group for male on flexibility fitness(p<.05);the flexibility fitness group is better than aerobics fitness group, muscular fitness for female on flexibility fitness(p<.05);the mixed fitness group is better than muscular fitness group for female on flexibility fitness(p<.05). The comparison among the rest groups remain their non-significant level after the post-test(p>.05).
