碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 台灣文化研究所碩士班 === 92 === Tso-Ying is the first place in Kaohsiung city where bring wasteland under cultivation . It has a long history background. When discuss the distinguishing feature of Kaohsiung city, we usually think about Tso-Ying first. In the thesis, we choose Tso-Ying area as the place we do the research. First we observe how the region to develop it’s special cultural character .Second , what is the interaction between human and the region . Third , how is the relationship between the resident and region to develop in Tso-Ying area. When we talk about localization , we usually talk about sense of region . Sense of region means the special character of the place or the attitude of resident toward the place where they live. We can construct the extensity in view of the region’s development. Second we can discuss the interaction among the region by studying the routine life of resident. The thesis study the development of Tso-Ying through documents analysis and also interview the resident in Quality research , we interview diverse background of resident in Tso-Ying . At last , the thesis integrate the viewpoint of the resident toward Tso-Ying, We hope the thesis can reproduce the local geography and history through resident-center’s viewpoint. The result of the study are as follows: 1. After a long time development and with outside environment factor effect , there are several dominant factor and different extensity to form Tso-Ying’s special cultural background . 2. After the regime shift and city development, diverse life experiment communities are caused by the influence of population movement factor. Regime shift, diverse life experiment and population movement are the main elements of varied cultural background. 3. The different cultural viewpoint cause equilibrium Dual City phenomena. 4. The citizen who dwell in the area will be affected by the urbanization. 5. The same history background and life experiment will construct similar regional sense. 6. From the view toward Tso-Ying future, if we can make use of the different cultural viewpoint and population movement , we can settle the division problem of Dual City. We can transfer asymmetric point into the power to become a multi-culture city.
