The methods of documentary analysis, questionnaire, and interviewing are adoped in this study, which has arrived at the following results: I.The attitudes of approval of elementary school PE teachers toward fun PE teaching belong in the upper medium level. II.In respect of the attitudes of approval of elementary school PE teachers with different backgrounds toward Fun PE teaching (1)In terms of communication and interaction between teacher and student, teaching content and design of activities, male teachers are superior to female ones, while in terms of teaching practice and application of teaching methods, as well as teaching assessment and feedback, female teachers are superior to male ones. (2)Young teachers tend to do their teaching according to the book and find it relatively hard to use their time adroitly, while older teachers with rich experience can efficiently manage teaching situations, maintain a good teaching pace, and shift teaching strategies in accordance with time and place. (3)In terms of the use of teaching time, the control of the teaching process, and the management of accidental situations, senior teachers are superior to junior ones. (4)PE teachers with coaching experience score higher than inexperienced ones. (5)PE teachers graduated from PE departments or sections at normal schools lay more stress on the inner demands of students than PE teachers with other educational backgrounds. III.Analysis of the degrees of approval in all aspects of the content of implementing fun PE teaching (1)The aspect of communication and interaction between teacher and student: 1.Providing students with free, open space for activities - Targeted and planned opening up of space can provide space for moderate and proper free practice. 2.The emotional interflow of good interaction - Good interaction, positive feedback, and active concern establish a harmonious relationship between teacher and student. (2)The aspect of design of teaching content and activities: 1.The concept of maintaining physical health - solidifying physical fitness teaching and reinforcing the concept of sports safety. 2.Life-style recreational sports - creative thinking, adroit application, and striving for easiness, simplicity and interestingness. (3)The aspect of teaching practice and application of teaching methods: 1.Providing ample operational opportunity - proper allocation of teaching time, in order to have a good command of effective teaching situations. 2.Game-style teaching design - step-by-step progress and ingenious efforts at variety, in order to create a good learning atmosphere. (4)The aspect of teaching assessment and feedback: 1.The learning process is more important than learning results - There should be more encouragement than scolding; emphasis should be placed on indiviual differences, with egual attention being paid to the procress and results. 2.Adopting diverse methods of assessment - Assessment should be diversified and multi-faceted, providing students with omni-directional opportunity for expression. (5)The aspect of overall current condition of implementation: Teachers show positive approval and recognition of fun PE teaching. In accordance with the research findings, relevant suggestions are proposed for future reference, regarding institutions of educational administration, administrative departments of elementary schools, elementary school PE teachers, and follow-up studies.
