On the theory aspect, first of all, this report shows how various business strategies, competitive strategies and core competency link with the performance or development of companies in different stage. Secondly, what difficulties and conflicts the companies will face to the sustaining and disruptive innovation decision, strategies and revolution will be made during innovation stage. Finally, coming out the necessity of globalization for EMS companies and what issue they will get in globalization. The methodology of this research is based on the case study-Top Union Electronics Corporation which is medium scale in the industry. The content includes the performance analysis that comparing with its competitors who have similar business scale and equivalent capability. Moreover, to point out what difficulties and issues will turn up when Top Union makes the decision or choose the various strategies during different developing stage. According to the analysis of this report, the following results will come out. (1) Using vague strategies will be the consequence after continuously developing stage for different scales of EMS companies.(2) Various value chain must be built up for small scale of EMS companies.(3) The weakness that large scale EMS companies have in their business running won’t be turned up in small-medium scale EMS companies. (4) Using various strategies to satisfy various customers is unavoidable under the highly competitive business environment since it’s nearly impossible to serve only one customer or customers who have the similar products line (5) Needing to have different division system to support a single customer but with different products and requirement.
