Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 工業工程與工程管理學系 === 92 === Abstract Because design has performed impacts on the manufacturing results, this research intended to use the failures occurred in the manufacturing stage as the sources for problem prevention to design-in mechanism for designers to design out future manufacturing problems. Using notebook computer manufacturing as an example, the research established an failure mode and effect analysis and used extended form for Fault tree analysis and Cause and Effect diagram to support the failure analysis and identified failure prevention design guidelines and checklist for designers to follow. In addition, a design performance measurement system based on the designers’ compliance to the design guidelines was developed. It is the author’s belief that having a designer’s performance measurement indices considering the manufacturing perspectives will give designers incentives to create a better design for manufacturing. The contributions of the research include: 1.Established an Extended Failure Mode and Effect Analysis mechanism, which create design guidelines and checklist to avoid future occurrence of the manufacturing failures. 2.Established a prototype Excel and Visual Basic based software application allowing easy assessment of design performance from the manufacturing perspective.
