Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiplexing Access (MC-CDMA) systems have the same merits as CDMA systems and OFDM systems do. Therefore, MC-CDMA systems provide higher throughput and have become one of the most promising choices among all the fourth generation cellular mobile communication systems. To suppress the multiple access interference (MAI) and different levels of flat fading in each subchannel without training phase, this thesis takes advantage of the fast kurtosis maximization algorithm (FKMA) published by Dr. Chi et al. and proposes a blind multiuser detection algorithm. Through a multistage successive separation (MSS) procedure all the users’ symbol sequences can be efficiently extracted. At each stage of the MSS procedure, one of the information sequence among the users is extracted using the FKMA. Then some simulation results for “Near-Far effect,” “different data length,” “different numbers of subcarriers” and “different numbers of users” are presented to support the efficacy of the proposed blind multiuser detection algorithm.
