One hundred and forty-six 4th grade students from Taichung County, Changhua County, Nantou County and Taichung City took the “Writing Test” and “Creativity Assessment Pocket(CAP)”, which consists fluency, openness, flexibility, originality, elaboration and title. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test, Pearson’s correlation and one-way ANOVA. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. Students of different genders show obvious different performance in productivity, syntax, level of abstraction and total of writing. The schoolgirls’ performance is better than the schoolboys’. 2. Students of different genders show obvious different performance in originality. The schoolboys’ performance is better than the schoolgirls’. 3. Students of different genders have no obvious difference in fluency, openness, flexibility, elaboration, title and total of creativity. 4. Students’ total of writing is related proportionately to openness, title and total of creativity. 5. Students who have higher total of creativity also have higher total of writing. Students who have lower total of creativity also have lower total of writing. At last, according to the results of this study, some suggestions were proposed for the elementary school teachers and the future research. 楊志堅 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
