Recommendations will be provided for elementary school teachers and future research. The literature review and questionnaive survey were utilized to acquire needed data. Literature review includes research findings from both domestic and abroad. Questionaive were administered to 34 elementary schools and to tal vo 1015 elementary school students’ parents of Taiching county. The research instrument was “Questionnaire of the parents’ educational expectation parent involvement in schooling”. The data were analyzed and presented by average , standard deviation , t-test and one-way ANOVA. Based on the data analyzed, the conclusions were as following: 1. Parents held high expectation for students’ education. 2. Parents held higher expedition for moral and personal relationship than for academic achievement. 3. Parents’ expectations vary with sex and academic degree. 4. Parents’ educational expectations vary with different school sizes. 5. Parental involvement in schooling is not common. 6. Parental involvement in schooling vary with sex, academic degree, occupation, and family structure. 7. Parental involvement in schooling partially differs with different school sizes. 8. The higher expectations parents hold. The more positive the involvement will be. Based on the conclusion of the study, suggestions provided are as following: (A)To elementary school teachers 1. Help parents hold proper expectation. 2. Promote educational level of suburban schools and enhance moral education. 3. Promote adult education, help parents with low academic degree build education expectation. 4. Increase the willingness of parents with different backgrounds to involve in schooling. 5. Promote the thinking of sexual equality. 6. Encourage parents to involve in schooling. (B)To future research 1. Suggest the cross-reference of parents’ real situation and teacher perception. 2. Suggest the consideration of other possible medium variables to clarify why parents involve in schooling. 3. Further study on “participation in school policy and operation”. 4. Adoption of observation and interview to understand deeply parents’ expectation and parental involvement in schooling.
