Summary:碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 聽語障礙科學研究所 === 92 === This preliminary study investigated the pragmatic characteristics of three children with specific language impairment (ages 3;7 to 4;1) in free play contexts. The pragmatic behaviors analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively included: topic initiation, topic termination, speech acts, and turn-taking. The result of this study presented three totally different and interactive pragmatic patterns of Mother- Child dyads. In addition, SLI children’s linguistic ability seemed to correlate positively with their pragmatic ability. Finally, the method of data collection and analyses was also recommended for the clinical application to evaluate the pragmatic pattern of Mother-Child dyads.
