The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectivness of far-infrared ray
on PGF2α,ET—1 serum concentration and pain intensity level in adolescent primary dysmenorrheal women. The quasi-experimental design was used in this study. A sample of 66 subjects was recruited in this study from the same nursing college . Convenience sampling and nonrandomized assigned to experimental group and control group.
The experimental group provides the far-infrared ray, twice per each week , 15 minutes each time, continuously execute intervention four weeks eight times. The measurement included the Short Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(MPQ-SF)、Numerical rating scale (NRS) and Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The both of experimental and control group must assess by self-writing Short Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(MPQ-SF) and Numerical rating scale (NRS). Both of experimental and control group detect sampling for serum sample for PGF2α,ET—1 and CA125 level.
Data were managed using SPSS10.0 forwindows and analysed using t-test and Chi-square test for demographice data to compared the pre-test and post-test differences between these two groups implementing the intervention of the far-infrared ray. Data were analysed using Pearson Correlation for demographice data to association relationship between PGF2α,ET—1 serum concentration and pain intensity level. The result of this study showed(1)there was significant differences (p<0.001)of the experimental group on ET—1 serum concentration level after implementing the intervention of the far-infrared ray.(2)there was related association between the pre-test Numerical rating scale (NRS) and post-test ET—1(r .26,p<.05),PGF2α (r —.32,p<.01)serum concen -tration level of adolescent primary dysmenorrheal women. This study infered significant effect of far-infrared ray on decreased ET—1 serum concentration level in adolescent primary dysmenorrheal women. This study provided take care intervention clinical evidence reference of adolescent primary dysmenorrheal women . This study suggests the other research to establish far-infrared ray organization in order to acheve their health promotion and it can develop for other disease.
