The heat-exchanger in this thesis is used to cool partial ci- rculating water with sea-water;therefor,it can be called a 〝coo- ler〞.Although this equipment only does the heat exchanging,but it affects the volume of electric generator power output.So th- at it should be treated as a key-unit in a power generation sys- tem. Bell-Delaware method was taken to identify those parameters which may have effects on the effectiveness of the Shell-and-Tu be type heat-exchangers.Many numerical experiments are performed ,parameters have been investigated includes:the sea-water inlet temperature,tube materials,tube diameter,buffle-cut percentage, and buffle pitch.Result shows that the sea-water inlet tempera- ture is the key parameter which will have the most prominence e- ffect on the effectiveness.
